Cybercrime is a growing concern, are you doing everything you can to ensure your personal information and assets are secure? We have written an article which discusses what cybercrime is and what you can do to reduce your risk of being a victim.

July and August have seen largely flat returns, this is due to much of the economic data not producing much surprise- all of this news has therefore been “priced into” the outcomes this month. In Australian markets, we have seen stable growth in the economy.

Internationally, USA remained relatively strong even though the USD had decreased with tensions in America & North Korea.  China remained strong with a 6.9% annual growth rate in the June quarter. If you would like to read more about the markets see the attached August Market Summary.

May’s federal budget brought news of a new initiative which would allow people to use the proceeds of downsizing your property to supplement retirement savings, regardless of age or meeting a condition to allow the contribution (i.e gainful employment) The article ‘should you downsize?’ discusses how your retirement can be enhanced and what alternatives to downsizing are available.

Staying the retirement theme, many are puzzled about how they are going to afford to get by once they finish work.  Do you know how much you can afford to spend after you retire? Our next article discusses this in detail and what you can do to meet your desired retirement income needs now and in future years.
